I graduated in Medicine with a specialisation in Gynaecologic Oncology and completed my PhD in 2003 at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP). I also hold an MBA in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, as well as a Post-Doctorate in Genomic Epidemiology from the University of Oxford, UK. Currently, I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO) at FMRP-USP, where I coordinate the Biobank and lead the Laboratory for Translational Data Science.I serve as a clinical advisor at the Hospital das Clínicas (HC) of FMRP-USP, where I am co-responsible for the Minimally Invasive Surgery and Pelvic Pain Unit. Additionally, I coordinate the Brazilian Centre participating in the Endometriosis Phenome and Biobanking Harmonisation Project. I am privileged to be part of the supervisory team for the DGO Postgraduate Programme, recognised for its excellence with the highest rating, and I hold a research productivity fellowship from CNPq (PQ-2).I am an active member of the Brazilian Society of Endometriosis, the National Endometriosis Committee of the Brazilian Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics Associations (Febrasgo), the World Endometriosis Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the International Pelvic Pain Society. I also serve on the editorial boards of RBGO - Brazilian Journal of Gynaecology and Obstetrics and BMC Women's Health.My scientific interests focus on epidemiological research in women's health, particularly in chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, and endometriosis. The aim of my work is to contribute to mapping these conditions, identifying risk factors and susceptibilities, and developing strategies to improve the quality of life for those affected.
