Graduated in Animal Science (1997) from UNESP (São Paulo State University), Master degree (2002) and PhD (2007) in Production Engineering both from UFSCar (the Federal University of Sao Carlos) and Post-doctor (2019) from UNESP. Currently, he works as an associate professor at UNESP, Faculty of Science and Engineering (FCE) since 2019. Professor Machado has experience teaching and managing the Business Administration undergraduate program as well as the Agribusiness and Development graduate program. Visiting Research Professor at the Université de Sherbrooke, QC, Canada (2022-2023). Member of the international research network Supply Chain 4.0 (SC4.0). Researcher at the Administration and Agribusiness Research Center (CEPEAGRO) and the Information, Knowledge and Organizational Intelligence Research Group (ICIO), his research interests are related to the management of rural organizations, management of agro-industrial systems, food traceability, information management, strategic marketing, service innovation, and I4.0.
