Dr Carmo has the following degrees in Psychology: Bachelor's degree from the Federal University of Pará (1993); Psychologist Training from the Federal University of Pará (1999); Degree from the University of the Amazon (1991). Post-graduation: Master's Degree in Theory and Research of Behavior from the Federal University of Pará (1997); PhD in Education from the Federal University of São Carlos (2002); Postdoctoral fellow at the Federal University of Pernambuco (Cognitive Psychology). Professor at the Department of Psychology at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), where he teaches undergraduate courses in the area of school and educational psychology, and teaching programming. Advisor professor in the Graduate Program in Psychology at UFSCar. She coordinates the Laboratory of Applied Studies to Learning and Cognition (LEAAC) of the Department of Psychology at UFSCar. Currently coordinator of the undergraduate course in Psychology at UFSCar (Management 2025-2027). Coordinator of the Specialization course in Inclusive Psychopedagogy, at UFSCar. Member of the Front of Actions in Behavior Analysis and Education (FAACE). Coordinator of the Psychology of Mathematics Education WG (Management 2021-2022) of the National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Psychology (ANPEPP), Vice coordinator of the same WG (Management 2022-2024), and currently coordinator of the same WG (Management 2025-2026. He is a researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology on Behavior, Cognition and Teaching (INCT-ECCE)He has experience in the area of School and Educational Psychology, with an emphasis on Behavior Analysis and Psychology of Mathematics Education, investigating mainly the following topics: teaching and learning mathematics; math anxiety; mathematical resilience; mathematical behavior; fundamental numerical skills; programming of teaching conditions.
