Osmar Vicente Rodrigues

PhD in Vehicle Design from the RCA - Royal College of Art - London UK (2008); MSc in Production Engineering from the UFSC - Federal University of Santa Catarina - Florianópolis BR (1993); BA in Industrial Design from the UNESP - University of Sao Paulo State - Bauru BR (1986). Design Fellow of the Imperial College London - Tanaka Business Centre (2007).Associate of the Innovation RCA at Royal College of Art, one of the Car Design Research Consultants, and also he was responsible for Cooperation Agreements between UNESP - São Paulo State University and Hyundai Motor Company (South Korea), Embraer (Brazil) and OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University (Norway). He was in charge, alternately, for 15 years, of the Woodwork Lab and of the LDMP - Materials and Prototypes Didactic Lab at UNESP Bauru campus. He was in charge, for 10 year, of the CADEP - Center for Advanced Product Development at UNESP Bauru campus, specialized in Rapid Prototyping, 3D Printing, 3D Digitalization, Reverse Engineering and Tridimensional Inspection. Member of the Foundation for Bauru Development - FUNDEB since 1995. He was a Tenured Professor in the Design Department at UNESP Bauru campus for 31 years (1988-2019), with his speciality and research related to Design and Business, Product Development, 3D Printing, Digital Fabrication, Model Making and Plastic Materials. His professional experience, industrial practice and the combination between design and businesses have been applied in his career, not only in the development of products and processes for industry, but also in the development of his academic activities.
