Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Física de São Carlos (IFSC)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Biological Sciences (Bachelor's degree) at Federal University of São Carlos (2009), have a PhD degree in Sciences (2016) with emphasis in Biotechnology from University of São Paulo (USP), and a Postdoctoral certificate from the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (IFSC - USP - 2017). Worked in the #8203;#8203;proteomics filed during graduation with the development of a research project that aimed to identify Xanthomonas axonopodis aurantifolii type C proteins potentially involved in the pathogenicity of the bacteria, at the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Microorganisms. During the PhD, worked with the molecular characterization of the VAL protein family (Venom Allergen-Like Protein) of Schistosoma mansoni and evaluated recombinant proteins as vaccine antigens against the murine model of schistosomiasis. Recently got a postdoctoral certificate from the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (IFSC), University of São Paulo (Laboratory of Epidemiology and Molecular Microbiology - LEMiMo). Developed a research project linked to the CEPID Center for Research and Innovation in Biodiversity and Drugs (CIBFar), analyzing the antimicrobial potential of natural and/or synthetic compounds against muti-drug resistant bacteria of clinical origin. She also worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Crystallography Group of the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC/USP) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Glaucius Oliva, where she developed a research project linked to CIBFar, related to the search for antiviral agents against arboviruses, such as Zika and Chikungunya, using phenotypic assays with a viral replicon system, enzymatic assays against proteases and crystallographic assays, with funding from FAPESP and the Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV). She has experience in the areas of Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Parasitology, Microbiology and Structural Biology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
