Eliana Monteiro da Silva is a pianist and holds a Master's and PhD in Music from ECA-USP, with FAPESP support. She completed her Post-Doctorate at the same university and is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) with the research "Argentine and Brazilian Composers: Musical Creation from the Perspective of Intra-American Comparative Criticism". She is the author of the books "Clara Schumann: Composer vs. Composer's Wife" (2011) and "Latin American Composers: Life - Work - Analysis of Piano Pieces" (2019), as well as co-author of the books "From Opera to Lied: An Evocation of the Sung Word" (2013), "Interdisciplinary Research and Practices in Musical Environments" (2015), Interdisciplinary Dialogues in Music (2022) and Sociocultural Aspects Interconnected to the Professional Trajectory of Composers and Musical Performers (2024). She represented Brazil at the III Ibermúsicas Musical Research Colloquium (2017) with the theme Music and Women in Latin America: making music from the perspective of gender, recommended by FUNARTE. As a pianist, she performs in solo and chamber recitals, being a member of the "Duo Ouvir Estrelas" with mezzo-soprano Clarissa Cabral and in the interdisciplinary artistic group "Nós somos". She is a co-founder of the network "Sonora - music and feminisms" and participates in the group "MyGLA Musicas y Genre: group of Latin American studies", both dedicated to the study of gender in music. She works as a collaborating researcher at the Music Department of ECA-USP, where she teaches in the Postgraduate course. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
