Francisco Borges Costa, collaborating professor at the Posgraduate Program in Animal Science PPGCA at the State University of Maranhão UEMA, is a Researcher Senior. He received his PhD in 2014 from the PPG Postgraduate Program in Experimental Epidemiology Applied to Zoonoses at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science FMVZ at the University of São Paulo USP with a focus on Spotted Fever Epidemiology in Maranhão. International Cooperation and Academic Exchange agreement between UEMA and Universidad Nacional de Colombia UNAL and International Research Cooperation between UEMA and the Institute of Medical Science by the University of Tokyo. He works in the Preventive Veterinary Medicine area, teaching the discipline "Parasitic Diseases of Domestic Animals" at 20h graduation and experience in: vector-borne diseases in Amazon-Cerrado transition areas, tick systematics, molecular biology and cell culture.
