Silvia Yumi Bando Takahara

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Institute of Biosciences, University of Sao Paulo (USP) (1997), with a Master's (1999) and Doctorate (2004) in Biotechnology, USP and post-doctorate in Molecular Microbiology from the Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas, USP and Institute of Biomedical Sciences, USP ( 2005-2008). She is a researcher at the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculdade de Medicina, USP, where she works at the Pediatric Genomics Laboratory and coordinates DNA sequencing and gene expression. She is a researcher at the NAP Biotechnology Research Center at USP. His current line of research focuses on functional genomics and bioinformatics, with a focus on investigating the developmental origins of health and disease (DOHaD) and on the study of transcriptional networks in host-pathogen interaction.
