Desenvolveu doutorado sanduíche na Universidade de Yale, EUA (2010). Participante no Yale's International Training Center for Global Infectious Diseases Research (ITC-GIDR) 2010 Summer Fellow, Universidade de Yale, EUA. Possui ainda Pós-Doutorado pelo Departamento de Farmacologia da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo (2011-2012) e Pós-Doutorado pela Universidade de Harvard - Brigham and Womens Hospital, EUA (2012-2014). Atualmente é Pesquisador em Saúde Pública da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz - FIOCRUZ e Coordenador do Serviço de Referência em Arbovírus do Departamento de Virologia e Terapia Experimental. Membro da Rede de Especialistas em Zika e Doenças Correlatas- RENEZIKA. Tem experiência principalmente nas áreas de Imunologia, Microbiologia/Virologia e Biologia Molecular, com ênfase especialmente em Imunopatogênese de Doenças Inflamatórias e Virais.
