I have a degree in Biology from Federal University of Santa Maria [2004] and master's and doctorate's degrees in Botany obtained at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul finished 2007 and 2011, respectively]. I am now professor in the Department of Ecology and Zoology at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and I coordinate the graduate program in Ecology at UFSC.I have experience in Plant Ecology, focusing on the following subjects: macroecology, diversity patterns, niche conservatism, process-based modeling, statistical modeling, phylogenetic structure and assembly of comunnities, riparian forests, species-environment relationships, natural disturbance, spatial distribution, seasonal forest and forest regeneration.
