The researcher holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1983), a master's degree in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro - PUC / RJ (1987) - area of concentration: Databases, a PhD in Computer Science also from PUC / RJ (1992) - area of concentration: Programming and Computer Theory, and a post-doctorate from the "National Institute of Multimedia Education - NIME", Chiba-shi, Japan (2003-2004). He graduated from Cesumar University - Unicesumar with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics (2024). He worked as a professor at the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP, from 1985 to 2023, as a member of the group of professors in the Computer Science area of the Department of Mathematics. In terms of research projects, he initially worked on projects in the area of Databases. He also participated in projects in the area of Operational Research Combinatorial Optimization. In recent years, he has dedicated himself more to projects in the area of Education, with an emphasis on the use of new technologies in the teaching-learning process, focusing on the following topics: Project-Based Learning, Teaching Methods and Techniques, Interdisciplinary Projects, Use of New Technologies in Education, Educational Robotics and Web Environments to Support Teaching.
