Marcel Parolin Jackowski

Marcel has a Master's (1997) and Ph.D. (2001) in Computer Science from Wright State University. He completed his post-doctoral research and worked as a Research Scientist at Yale University (2001-2006) in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Afterwards, he became a professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME-USP) at the University of São Paulo (USP). In 2017, he obtained the 'Livre-Docência' (Habilitation) title from USP with a thesis in bioimaging. In 2025, became an Assistant Professor at Insper, where he teaches and advise students in the undergraduate programs of Computer Science and Computer Engineering. His main research focuses on the development of advanced methodologies for multimodal data visualization and analysis in Medicine and Health, with an emphasis on information collected by medical devices.
