Undergraduation in Biological Sciences (bachelor), with emphasis in Cellular and Molecular Biology, by the University of Vale do Paraíba (Univap). Master degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology by the University of Campinas (Unicamp), in the field of Microbial Genetics related to bacteria from petroleum samples, a project which was congratulated with the PETROBRAS Technology Award (2006). Ph.D. by the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (CENA/USP), working with the sequencing of a genome (NGS) and genes of cyanobacterial toxins, having performed parts of the project in Belém (UFPA) and Sydney (NSW, Australia - UNSW and UWS). After Ph.D., a project in the post-doctoral level was performed in the facilities of CTBE/CNPEM, involving the prospection and studies of novel enzymes of interest for the Bioethanol industry, besides assistance in works on Bioinformatics. Acted as a Laboratory and RD Analyst with the production of DNA polymerases. Experience with translation and guidance in the writing of scientific articles. Experienced in the field of Molecular and Microbial Genetics, acting mainly in the following subjects: Enzymology (production and biochemical characterization of enzymes); Microbiology (recovering microorganisms from environmental samples; cultivation of directed microbial consortia; isolation and taxonomy of microorganisms); Molecular Biology (main techniques and access to the microbial community of environmental samples by cultivation-independent methods; construction of genomic libraries); Bioinformatics (sequencing and annotation of prokaryotic genomes - platforms SOLiD and Illumina).Interested in the fields: extremophile enzymes and microorganisms with industrial application and use in biorremediation assays and degradation of toxic compounds; biotransformation of recalcitrant compounds; methods in Molecular Biology for studies with micrpbial communities.Currently actinf as a freelancer (PreScouter) with consultancy, searching for new technologies of interest to different industrial sectors.
