He works in two areas of research: a) Molecular Biophysics and Spectroscopy, with emphasis on studies on the action of antimicrobial peptides on pathogenic microorganisms and their interactions with membrane mimetic systems; b) Education and dissemination of Science, with an emphasis on Structural Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, where it develops, produces and evaluates teaching materials for these areas, as well as to proposing methodological approaches to be employed at different educational levels.
