He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Brasilia (UnB), with a sandwich internship at King's College London, and a master's degree in the same field from UnB. He also has a degree in Maths (BA and BSc) from the same institution. He is currently the General Coordinator of Scientific and Technological Information at the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict), where he leads projects focused on Open Science, digital repositories, system interoperability and scientific data management. His contributions at Ibict include coordinating initiatives such as Oasisbr, a portal that aggregates and disseminates open access Brazilian scientific content, and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), which centralises the academic production of postgraduate programmes across the country. He also leads efforts related to the dARK Network, a decentralised system of persistent identifiers based on blockchain, which aims to guarantee the integrity and traceability of digital resources, promoting innovation in scientific data management. His career includes the development of BrCris, a system for integrating and visualising scientific data in Brazil, and the Laguna project, aimed at creating an open-access scientific data lake. He is the author of several academic articles ranging from formal methods in computer science to applied Open Science topics and digital repositories. His main contributions are related to tools for promoting visibility and access to Brazilian scientific production, strengthening interoperability and innovation in the national research ecosystem.
