Luciano Garcia Lourenção

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the São José do Rio Preto Medical School (Famerp, 2002), currently pursuing a major in Public Management (Senac, 2024present). He holds a Master's degree (Famerp, 2006) and a PhD (Famerp, 2009) in Health Sciences, with a concentration in Medicine and Allied Sciences. He also completed several specializations: in Public Management at the Federal University of São Carlos (2015); in Epidemiology at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (2017); in Planning, Implementation, and Management of Distance Education at the Fluminense Federal University (2017); in Health Informatics at the Federal University of São Paulo (2014); in Pedagogical Training for Professional Education in the Health Area: Nursing at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2005); in Occupational Nursing at the São José do Rio Preto Medical School (2004); and in Management of Primary Care Units of the Unified Health System (SUS) at the São José do Rio Preto Medical School (2004). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Epidemiology Laboratory of the School of Medicine, Federal University of Ouro Preto (2020-2021). He is a Federal Public Servant, holding the position of Full Professor of Higher Education, with extensive experience in teaching, research, and public management. Currently, he serves as Advisor to the Minister of State at the Ministry of Social Security (Brasília, DF), and as Scientific Editor of the journal Enfermagem em Foco, published by the Federal Nursing Council (Cofen). He was recognized among the top 0.5 per cent of academics worldwide, according to the 2024 ScholarGPS ranking, in the "Best Academic Past 5 Years" category, in the area of Primary Health Care.
