Gabriel Marcelino Alves

Doctor and Master in Computer Science (2020, 2006) from the Federal University of São Carlos. Specialist in Professional Education Management (2013) from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. Graduated in Computer Science (2003) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, Poços de Caldas campus. Since 2007, he has been a full-time professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP), São João da Boa Vista campus. At the IFSP, he assumed coordination, management and direction positions, and participated in several committees. He works as a researcher in the following lines: digital image processing, computer vision, machine learning and information technology in education, based on the main themes: deep learning, reconstruction of tomographic images and pattern recognition.
