Bruno Rondani is recognized as the leading expert in Open Innovation in the country. As a pioneering entrepreneur in his field, he initiated the Open Innovation movement in Brazil in 2008, in cooperation with the University of California - Berkeley, impacting over 7,000 corporations and 32,000 startups around the practice. He created the Open Startups concept, realized through the 100 Open Startups Ranking, which rewards corporations, startups, and ecosystem players that most actively engage in Open Innovation. The Ranking is present across Latin America, has awarded over 1,000 early-stage startups, and is now a market reference for curating startups for corporations and investors, generating over 150 scaleups and 2 unicorns.Mini Resume:- Electrical engineer and master's from Unicamp, and Ph.D. in Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from FGV;- As an entrepreneur and investor, he has been involved in over 30 startups, achieving seven corporate acquisitions and one IPO;- He is an Eisenhower Fellow, president of Inova Venture Partners, chairman of the Open Innovation Week, a guest professor at the Fundação Instituto de Administração, Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and an associate researcher in innovation ecosystem management and the Bridge Ecosystem at the University of São Paulo;- As part of his academic activities, he participated in exchange programs at the University of Virginia, University of California - Berkeley, Babson College, and University of Pittsburgh in the USA, and ESADE in Spain;- He collaborated on the development of academic programs with the Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, and Chalmers Technical University in Sweden;- He served as a member of the scientific board of EMS, a leading pharmaceutical company in Brazil, on the Global Technical Direction Board of Thales Group, on the Superior Council of Innovation and Competitiveness of the São Paulo Industry Federation, and represented Brazil at the OECD Symposium on Global Open Innovation Networks in Paris;- During his career, he held senior executive positions in aerospace and defense programs in Brazil led by the Thales Group and Saab Technologies and was a strategic consultant in open innovation for over 100 companies.
