I have a degree in History from the University of São Paulo, a Master's in Social History from the same University with the dissertation "Leopold von Ranke and the Oriental Question: The Case of The Serbian Revolution" and a Ph.D. in Social History from USP with the thesis " Echo of Turkish Bells. The Place of the Ottoman Empire in the Work of Leopold von Ranke". My research has as main focus the work of Leopold von Ranke in the areas of Intellectual History, History of German Historiography, Balkans and Contemporary European History. This research intends to define the relation that the work of the Prussian historian Leopold von Ranke (1795-1886) kept with the Philosophy of his age, having as reference Ranke's attack against philosophical histories and philosophies of history, specially his criticism about Hegel's historical explicatory schemes.
