He was a professor at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. He holds a postdoctoral and doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo - USP, a master's degree in Electronic Engineering and Computing - Systems and Control Area at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology - ITA, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the São Paulo State University "Jùlio de Mesquita Filho" - Unesp FCT. He is currently mainly involved in topics related to the use of the Internet of Things and the development of hardware and software applied to Precision Agriculture and Biodiversity Monitoring. He has also published work on the use and development of geoprocessing techniques, simulation, and generation of models applied to biodiversity conservation and precision agriculture; Processing and modeling in Spatial Databases; Research and development in Spatial Data Infrastructures; Computational simulation, navigation algorithms, and robotics; Development and research in the integration and interoperability of sensor networks for agricultural and environmental applications.
