Birthplace: Brazil

Fabbryccio Akkazzha C. Machado Cardoso has worked as technical leader in several R&D projects executed by CPQD since 2010. Some outstanding examples can be cited, such as the physical layer based on FPGA technology developed as part of the RASFA (Advance Wireless Access Networks) project for LTE (Long Term Evolution) and LTE-A (LTE Advanced) base-stations (eNodeB). Other examples are projects derived from the Ministry of Defense?s RDS (Software Defined Radio) Program which is managed and co-executed by CTEx (Army Technological Center), having CPQD as the R&D body for waveform development. In this context, Fabbryccio was the leading researcher in project such as: ?Modeling, Research and Development of HF-Band (High Frequency) Waveforms, Compliant to the SCA (Software Communication Architecture) Standard?; ?Research of High-Performance Waveforms for VHF Bands?; ?Prove-of-Concept, Modeling and Software Architecture for a 700MHz-Band LTE Waveform designed for Defense Applications?. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Brasília in 1995, obtained his master's and doctorate degrees in telecommunications engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 1998 and 2004, respectively. He has more than 20 years of experience in R&D projects in institutions such as UNICAMP (2000?2009), TCP-Telecom (2002?2004) and CPqD (2010-current), including technologies for telecommunications systems such as Digital TV, HSPA (3G), LTE (4G) and New Radio (5G). Currently, he coordinates an innovative waveform R&D project with high data throughput for different operational scenarios. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
