Maurício Fernando Lima Pereira holds a degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos (1998), a Master's degree in the Area of Image and Signal Processing in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos (2001) and a PhD in Applied Physics - Computational by the Institute of Physics of São Carlos - University of São Paulo(2007). He is a professor at the Institute of Computing at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). He participates in the Computing in Precision Agriculture (CAP) research group, where he conducts research on the use of Embedded Computing applied to Precision Agriculture and the construction of Parallel Algorithms applied to agricultural risk management using MPI and Apache Spark.
