Flávia holds a bachelor degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2007), followed by a bachelor degree in Applied Mathematics from the same institution (2012). She has a master's degree in Ecology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2011), and a Ph.D. in Ecology from the Universidade de São Paulo (2015). She was postdoctoral researcher (2015-2023) at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Instituto de Física Gleb Wataghin and the Programa de Pós Graduação em Ecologia). Currently, Flávia holds the position of collaborating professor at the University of São Paulo. Additionally, she serves as the scientific coordinator for the Training Program in Quantitative Ecology (Serrapilheira Institute). She is an assistant professor at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas Instituto de Biologia, Departamento de Genética, Evolução, Microbiologia e Imunologia). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
