Abstract

Iridopsis panopla (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) is a defoliator of eucalyptus (Myrtaceae). Iridopsis panopla pupae were collected on a commercial plantation of Eucalyptus grandis, in the locality of Ribas do Rio Pardo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. After 18 days, the hymenopteran parasitoids Brachymeria annulata (Chalcididae) and Trichospilus diatraeae (Eulophidae) emerged from the I. panopla pupae. This is the first host record of these parasitoids from this important eucalyptus pest. Biological aspects of T. diatraeae were evaluated under laboratory conditions. (AU)
