Abstract

In this work we address the expansion of multimodal interaction for people with quadriplegia through the design and development of a multimodal integration component, a pervasive device with quadriplegia and it was possible for her to perform new tasks using the same hardware platform. That platform was mirrored in a simulation environment and real usage scenarios were tested using different configurations. Results showed that integration of that sort of device to ACAT has little impact on CPU usage and its standalone use requires a fraction of CPU resources. (AU)
