Abstract

On-line simulation is being used to "augment", i.e., improve the management and control quality of operational systems. Real-time monitoring of physical environments that are subject to emergency situations can greatly benefit from on-line simulations. These can be fed with events gathered and interpreted from sensor networks what can lead to faster incidents and accidents prediction. This paper deals with the visualization of online simulations. A web-based framework is described, which generates HLA compliant on-line simulation visualization interfaces. These interfaces can be deployed on different devices, from cellular phones to digital caves. (AU)
