Abstract

We present an analysis of the shell Be star zeta Tauri. Its well-known V/R variations were measured on a large sample of optical spectra, along with various other features, like the shape and position of the shell absorption trough in Balmer lines. A new 2.5D disk oscillation model was confronted to those observational data and to the 2D model used in past analyses. This 2.5D formalism provided encouraging results and proved to be a very useful bridge between the previous 2D formalism and the 3D formalism in preparation. (AU)
