Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of cybersecurity procedures in remote calibration for time and frequency dissemination to be used in position, navigation and timing services. The remote calibration method uses a P3 algorithm that combines P1 and P2 codes from satellite link and turn it free of ionosphere refraction to compare distant timescales. The proposed algorithm is also implemented in the calculation of the reference time scale UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) on the key comparison CCTF-K001. UTC. Results of satellite comparison between UTC( INXE) and UTC(OP) has been used to prove the suitability and reliability of the method. This work demonstrated that the communication exchange between client and provider needs to be secure in three dimensions: confidentiality, integrity and authenticity and the process management of the results should take care of these cybersecurity pillars.
