Abstract

Several technologies are used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in the world, among them we can mention imaging exams, radiotherapy planning software, linear accelerators, among others. The cancer treatment routine for the patient is strenuous consisting of a series of sessions, consultations, and test completion. Many doubts are common in the treatment process by the family and the patient himself. The patient often does not know what exactly is occurring with their body due to their state of health with the aftereffect of treatment. With a focus on patient care, this article presents an application capable of facilitating communication between the medical staff and the patients themselves. Named ONCO APP, this mobile application is capable of integrating oncology patients 24 hours a day with medical staff and performing remote actions that can save lives. Also, Onco APP is an application capable of elucidating and clarifying the patient's doubts regarding his clinical diagnosis. Onco APP is part of the SIPRAD (Information System for Radiotherapy Planning) project. (AU)
