Resumo

Propomos desenvolver atividades de pesquisa, inovação e disseminação na área de fotônica focalizando comunicações ópticas; como continuação do Centro de Pesquisa em Óptica e Fotônica (CePOF - Campinas Branch, do programa CEPID) na fase ll. Na área de comunicações ópticas visamos desenvolver pesquisas colaborativas envolvendo físicos, engenheiros e químicos, trabalhando de forma sinérgica para explorar novas tecnologias que podem levar a um avanço substancial das telecomunicações. O projeto também inclui pesquisas exploratórias em materiais avançados para a fotônica e aplicações de lasers em ciências da vida e metrologia, bem como atividades em parceria com empresas visando transferência de tecnologia e atividades de disseminação da ciência e da tecnologia.
