Abstract

Central pivot irrigation systems currently occupy about 20% of the irrigated area in Brazil, currently being sold around 1,800 new equipments per year (120,000 ha/year) mainly in the Southeast and Midwest regions of the country. These sprinkler irrigation equipments have water efficiency between 80 to 90%, when well-sized, being subjected to the effects of drift by wind and wetting the plant surface which involves the need to increase the Crude irrigation blade. On the other hand, drip irrigation has been consolidated as an effective system for optimizing water use in agriculture, since the system has irrigation efficiency of more than 90% and allows the application of fertilizers simultaneously. The major problem of the traditional drip system is the cost of implantation and the risk of early clogging of the water-issuers. By joining the advantages of the traditional central pivot system with the drip irrigation system, the mobile drip irrigation system (IRGMO) was devised, where drip lines are mounted on the central pivot pipe replacing the kit Sprinkling, thus becoming the mechanized system in a mobile located system (drag of the hoses on the ground) enabling the irrigation of areas with greater slope to a lower cost of investment. Another striking feature is the water economy that can reach 20%, and consequently also reducing the demand for energy for pumping. This research project provides for the study of leaking issuers manufactured and developed for specific use in IRGMO systems (high flow, co-extruded tube, concave outlet hole), with regard to the clogging of the issuers by the drag on the ground and by inert solid particles in suspension in the pumping water, compared with reports in the literature of traditional transporters of fixed drip systems (low flow and flat output hole).
