Abstract

The behavior of individuals and organizations, as well as culture, seem to have a significant effect on business performance. Along with this assumption, based on the literature, essentially linked to contingency theory, this research aims to investigate the relationship between organizational culture elements and those linked to the behavior of its leaders and its performance. The implementation of the research will have a composite sample of the largest Brazilian companies listed on the Exam's magazine, which will have in the sample controllers or professionals who have under their responsibilities functions of the controllership area. Data collection will take place through previously prepared and tested questionnaire , and based on the theoretical constructs developed for this research. The data will be analyzed descriptively and through structural equations using SmartPLS software. At the end of the research, the ideas put forward will be met based on the analysis and discussion of results. (AU)
