Abstract

The comprehension of how the relationship between supply chain performance and organizational culture occurs can help predict scenarios and improve decision-making. However, their dynamics remain unexplored because of the complexity of quantitatively address the interference of subjectivity. The use of artificial intelligence combined with computational processing of human language has the potential to overcome this difficulty and its techniques are rarely applied to this context. Therefore, the general objective of this work is to propose the use of Fuzzy Grey Cognitive Maps (FGCM) to map and quantify the causal relationships between organizational culture and supply chain performance. This application is not found in the literature and can provide new perspectives to approach their interaction. The execution of this project is divided into four stages: bibliographic review; development of the theoretical model of interrelationships between SCOR® performance attributes and Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions; FGCM construction; and the decision model design from a pilot application in a strong link company from the food industry supply chain in the beverage sector. This work is linked to the project "Supplier performance management: study of multicriteria techniques and artificial intelligence techniques for group decision" associated with the National Institute of Information and Decision Systems (INCT - INSID), approved and financed by FAPESP. It aims to expand the research that integrates operations management and decision support techniques by designing a model with field application to, in the long term, contribute to the improve the practices in the companies.
