Abstract

The objective of the work seeks to highlight the role of women in Theogony and in Works and Days from a marriage perspective, from the consolidation of oikos. We propose a reading tending to trace the positive lineage in which the good wife registers, repairing the first inscription of the woman in a tenebrous lineage, from her filiation with Pandora. We will try to think about the problematic of marriage, associated with the behavior model demanded by the oikos, privileging the concept of nomos as the axis of socio-cultural construction and of the generic one in particular. From the dimension that opens the nomos as regulatory and normative axis, it remains to problematize the displacement of women from their first inscription to an identity construction of positive valence, embodied in the figure of the good wife able to co-build an oikos, by of a disciplinary device of masculine imprint. In this production of meaning, the myth inscribes an ancestral story in which the figure of the husband is the center of the consolidation device of the house. (AU)
