Abstract

The collections IMAGES AND TEXTS, in their volums 1 (Interpretations on Culture and Power in Antiquity) and 2 (Interpretations on Culture and Power in the Middle Ages and in Receptions of the Past), put together 31 chapters of 34 national and international professionals. This professionals are historians, archaeologists and literati who composed unpublished texts on the construction of Ancient and Medieval History from the analysis of textual and iconographic documentations. The collections are the result of innovative and recent research, making an important contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the subjects related to Ancient and Medieval History. The book also provides knowledge to those who wish to deepen into the themes of Culture and Power in Antiquity and Medieval. (AU)
