Abstract

The objective of this research is to master the techniques for developing, manufacturing, assembling and testing of a releasing mechanism of scattered light suppression structures and optical protection and its associated separation mechanism to be used in Cubesats missions. The releasing mechanism, also known as Baffle, is responsible for shielding the light coming from sources outside the field of view of the camera. The light outside the angular view of the system must execute multiple number of reflections on its surfaces, minimizing the intensity of the light that effectively reach the sensor in order to protect optical system.
