Abstract
In this project intend to study the phase stability and the microstructural evolution of the Cu-9%Al-10%Mn-3%Ag-x%Zr alloys (wt.%) and FeNiCuMnTiSn high-entropy alloys using scanning differential calorimetry (DSC), differential thermal analysis (DTA), thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, optical microscopy, X-ray dispersive energy spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction patterns, microhardness change with quenching temperature and aging time, magnetization change with temperature and applied field and stress-strain measurements. The results obtained will provide information on phase transitions and its stability ranges in studied alloys, on effects of Zr and Cu variations in the thermal, mechanical and magnetic behavior of the alloys. These materials may be utilized for development of thermomagnetic motors for applying in conversion energy. (AU)
