Abstract

This innovative research project with national technologies has as main objective to develop a control of rotor rotation in the presence of strong winds and bursts of winds larger than nominal. The blast comes from sudden and sudden increase of air with a short duration, for small aerogenerators, this can lead to partial or total damages. These development studies will go through a process of memorial of analytical calculations of sizing, geometric modeling of the product in 3D and creation of 2D drawings with the technical concept in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and numerical modeling with engineering procedure for calculations of load, fatigue and structural analysis by the CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) finite element method. The rotor rotation control system requires in-depth studies on metal alloys, heat treatments and manufacturing process to achieve not only the best geometry required for the mechanism but also due to the high loads and torques the system will suffer. This innovation is intended to be used in wind turbines with small horizontal axis, with innovative features, low cost, for moderate wind speed, for individual use, with Off Griddistribution) and On Grid (locations with access to distribution network).Unlike medium and large systems, this rotor rotation control system is simple and easy to manufacture, however, it requires a thorough study and research. The proposed system aims to complement the spectrum of existing solutions in the market and still respond to some typical day-to-day issues of intermittently running power sources. The feasibility of this proposal will be presented through a product in the form of reports, projects, drawings, calculations and a prototype that will help in this way to define the best relations between the variables for the manufacturing, construction and facilities in the wind turbine generator, with the variables cost and profitability of the company in the operational sphere of commercialization.
