Abstract

The potential of the Internet of Things (IOT) for the management of individual health has already been used and can be exploited for other purposes, such as the monitoring of physical activity in pregnant women. Virtual Assistant for Pregnant Women is a proposal to integrate different knowledge to obtain better results on the Physical Activity of the pregnant woman. Literature shows that there is great difficulty in analyzing the quantification of the duration of daily physical activities in pregnant women. The objective of the project is the development of a virtual assistant, in Portuguese, with examples of health management functionalities, for monitoring Physical Activity measurement for pregnant women attended by SUS in the city of Ribeirão Preto-SP. The methods used will be developed in two stages, which include the construction of an indirect instrument to quantify the physical activity, the construction of the virtual assistant for the monitoring and validation of the instrument. The use of technological tools (the virtual assistant), as a routine in people's lives, is expected to contribute as a timely tool for collecting and processing data in this research in a fast, cheap and consistent way, supporting the integration of data between the pregnant and health units, contributing to the care of the pregnant woman through family medicine; providing improvement of the quality and safety in the care of pregnant women. At the end of this project will be finalized a Phd and a scientific graduated works. (AU)
