Abstract

We propose the construction, optimization and application of density functionals for DFT calculations to investigate superfluidity, entanglement and quantum phase transitions in nanomaterials. Metric spaces and artificial neural networks will be used for testing and optimizing the density functionals. We will refine the metrics space approach and apply it to the study of quantum phase transitions in exotic superfluids and other critical phenomena in spin chains. The relationship between entanglement and the exotic superfluid phase will be investigated in disordered nanostructures. We will explore the intrinsic relationship between entanglement and magnetic susceptibility in order to detect entanglement in experiments via the measurement of susceptibility. (AU)
