Abstract

Currently there is a great deal of data and information on Brazilian species scattered in various institutions and stored in non-standardized structures and in independent information systems. In many cases, there is data with outdated taxonomy and lack of additional information that might qualify the data. Thus, this project aims to develop an innovative web platform that performs the qualification of species data to support the environmental licensing process, research activities and other initiatives that contain biodiversity, ecological and socio-environmental data. The great innovation will be a single database that has taxonomic reference data from several known sources and data on the threat status of Brazilian species, at national and state level, always updated and from reliable sources.
