Abstract

The project aims to understand and adapt the process of manufacturing a material to be used in orthoses and a substitute of orthopedic gypsum developed with formulations already tested (PIPE Phase 1). The study will be carry out in a small scale for later large scale manufacture. The product, because it is produced with low cost material, will have a highly competitive value with similar products currently used in Brazil, all of which are imported, and globally. In addition, the proposed product can be used as a substitute for orthopedic gypsum with many competitive advantages. (AU)
