Abstract

This is a proposal for exchange activities between UNICAMP, UFABC and Duke University to work on studies of supernova neutrino sensitivity of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). We will produce publications evaluating the sensitivity of DUNE to neutrino absolute mass, to the neutrino mass hierarchy, and to non-standard neutrino interactions from observation of the burst of neutrinos from a core-collapse supernova. These studies will also serve to help optimize DUNE's design. Each senior member of this collaboration will make at least one trip to the other country, and we plan also a one-week Hack Days event in Brazil involving senior members and graduate students. The exchange activities will greatly enhance the efficiency of collaboration. (AU)
