Abstract

The main objective of this project is to make HPC equipment available to the Cepid-CeMEAI researchers and other researchers in the State of São Paulo with international service standards. The Euler Cluster today in operation was awarded to Cepid-CeMEAI and initially installed in 2015, with 4160 Logical Cores, 175 TB NFS, 175 TB of high-performance All-in-One Storage mounted with INFINIBAND connection for high performance communication. In 2018 an upgrade was made with the addition of 50% of the initial capacity. In the renewal of the Cepid project in 2018, a new resource allocation is granted for a further 50% Upgrade to be made in 2021, when the first equipment will no longer have the manufacturer's guarantee and will begin decommissioning as failures are detected.The use of Euler over these almost 5 years has been 80% in almost all of the time, as shown in the usage reports.Euler's great success as EMU results from the energy, air conditioning and technical support infrastructure provided by USP through ICMC and CeTisc.
