Abstract

This document describes an investment proposal to use the Institutional Technical Funding (RTI) granted by FAPESP in 2019 to AC Camargo Cancer Center. The International Research Center (CIPE) of AC Camargo Cancer Center is a 4.000 m2 building with offices and laboratories spaces to carry out cutting-edge basic and translational research in Oncology. CIPE also houses the core facilities and personnel trained that provide services on next generation sequencing, cell culture, animal experimentation, advanced flow cytometry analysis and others. The recent development of large collaborative projects increased demand for theses resources, hence the need of shared laboratory equipment to process and sotre biological samples securely. This year, AC Camargo proposes to buy 2 new equipments for biological sample processing and automated control and security system to use in the biobank, at an estimated cost of R$ 20.490,00. The acquisition and replacement of shared equipment, which has reached its end- of-life cicle, with new and more advanced equipment will benefit all researchers and it will also help to ensure the safety and quality of the research operational process of the core facilities.
