Rheology and additive manufacturing of nanocomposite hydrogels inks for drug delivery and tissue engineering applications

Abstract

The proposed research project aims to establish a new collaborative scientific research activity between the principal investigators: Dr Dimitrios Lamprou at Queen's University of Belfast and Dr Marcos Akira d'Ávila at University of Campinas. The main scientific goal of this collaborative proposal is to investigate rheological properties and bioprinting of nanocomposite hydrogels inks by exploiting facilities and competencies at both institutions. Potential applications in biomedical field are foreseen, such as, novel hydrogels for scaffolds bioprinting with potential applications in drug delivery and regenerative medicine. (AU)
