Abstract

Our laboratory is dedicated to the development of novel supramolecular assemblies for presenting antigens or for improving the antimicrobial action against resistant microbes. The constructions will rely on intermolecular interactions between polymers, lipids, biomolecules, surfactants, antigens and other significant molecules to build effective immunoadjuvants or microbicides.Preparation, characterization and bioactivity will be determined by classical but sometimes sophisticated techniques like dynamic light-scattering, morphology of nanoparticles, films and cells from scanning electron microscopy, determination of cells viability for microrganisms and model mammalian cells like cultured fibroblasts. Not only the effectiveness of the assemblies will be evaluated but also their toxicity. (AU)
