Abstract

The present proposal aims the development of a low-cost geomarketing platform which does not require marketing or GIS expertise for its use. Although there are several platforms of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and, more specifically, Geomarketing Platforms for market analysis, these platforms demand high license costs and multidisciplinary teams composed of marketing professionals and GIS specialists with training and specific knowledge for their use.Thus, such platforms are accessible only to large companies, which have the necessary financial and human resources. It should also be noted that market analysis should not be ponctual activities, but, on the contrary, must be constantly updated with market changes and new trends. The vast majority of micro, small and medium-sized companies, that could also benefit from these analytical tools, do not have access to geomarketing platforms because of their high cost of use and also because they do not have people dedicated to market research.Therefore, the development of a low-cost geomarketing platform that does not require specialized technical training for its use can leverage small entrepreneurs' businesses and bring substantial gains to the country's economy.
