Nhemboaty Mirim: a healthy and sustainable surveillance and monitoring system of Serra do Tabuleiro State Park and Morro dos Cavalos Indigenous Land (SC) based on geotechnologies and participatory mapping

Abstract

The present project, called Nhemboaty mirim, has as its objective the development of a State Park surveillance and monitoring system of Serra de Tabuleiro and Morro dos Cavalos Indigenous Land based on geotechnologies and participatory mapping, identifying and pointing paths for the integration of healthy and sustainable practices. For this, the project will include in partnership with the Center for Studies and Education "Work, Environment and Health "(CETAS), Paulista State University, President's Campus Prudente (SP) and the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFC), with the technical support of Santa Catarina Federal Institute (IFSC), the Çarakura Projects InstituteEnvironmental & Permaculture (responsible for the shared management of the Serra dos Tabuleiros) and the Tataendy Rupa da Terra Training Center Guarani Indian from the Morro dos Cavalos.In a first stage of the project, using vehicle-generated images unmanned aerial drones with image sensors and LiDAR and satellite, detailed maps of the biodiversity of the study area will be prepared, as well as degraded areas and conflicts of interest. Through the participatory mapping, monitoring indicators will be developed that will should be appropriated by the project partners, integrating knowledge generated by the Public University, Federal Institutes, Training Center Tataendy Rupa of the Guarani community and managers of Serra State Park Tray (SC). In addition to favoring the dissemination of the knowledge generated, learning spaces and exchange of experiences among the participants, the implementation of the surveillance system should provide the protection and restoration of indigenous land natural resources and conservation unit focus, with the development of its own surveillance system based on spatial modeling and social technology procedures.
