Abstract

It is known that in onion and tomato crops excessive fertilizer application is common, which contributes to increase production costs, nutritional imbalances, soil salinization and groundwater contamination. Therefore, to minimize costs, increase protability and preserve soil and water quality, it is essential to make rational application of fertilizers, taking into account that the genetic characteristics of each hybrid and environmental factors interfere with the amount and proportionality of the nutrients absorbed. Thus, the characterization of nutrient accumulation of hybrids is essential, however, the cost is high to generate this data, requiring financial planning, qualified human resources, materials, culti-vation area and time, because it is necessary to install experiment with each hybrid of interest. Moreover, these experiments do not take into account environmental variables in nutrient accumulation. Thus, many times the hybrid holder company does not have the information on nutrition and fertilization, which creates risks to both producers, due to the wrong fertilization that leads to low productivity, as well as to the companies themselves, with the possible low acceptance of the new hybrid and consequently loss of the investment made. The construction of statistical and mathematical models can be a strategy to characterize the nutrient accumulation of new hybrids that are constantly ap-pearing in the market. From the models and database it is possible to create analgorithm, the core of a software that brings customized technological solution of fertilization for tomato and onion crops ( newproduct1), where the inter-ested party enters with information of region, cropping system , fertilizer and hybrid and the program will provide simplied information, easy interpretation and access to fertilizer recommendations. It is also possible to develop other software that enables the creation of new nutrient absorption curves with lower cost, labor and time ( newproduct2). The aims of this project are the creation of nutrition and fertilization technology solutions, in the form of creation of algorithms and software prototypes to recommend personalized fertilization for onion and table tomato crops ( novoproduto1) and to develop a statistical model for estimation of nutrient accumulation of onion and tomato cultivars quickly and cheaply ( newproduct2). It will be built a database , modeling for development of newproduct1 and newproduct2 and construction of software prototype. Newproduct1 is expected to oer fully customized fertilization planning according to the specic needs of each hybrid, either in fertigation or conventional fertilization. As well as for the region of cultivation, since the climate variable of the region of cultivation will be taken into account in the technology, being a major diferential. Once the innovative method of newproduct2, using mathematical-statistical properties integrated with practical and technical concepts of agronomy, it is expected it to provide results of nutrient accumulation of hybrids with low nancial, labor and time costs. New products 1 and 2 will meet the main needs of farmers and seed companies, respectively, with a promising scenario and room for growth. (AU)
